Verification Check: US 1869 10c Eagle & Shield (Scott 116 Vs 127)

Hi everyone,

I would appreciate your expert opinion on this 10c 1869 Eagle & Shield stamp.

I'm trying to double-check the identification regarding the paper type and overall features to confirm whether this is a standard Scott #116 or if there is any possibility of it being a Scott #127 re-issue.

I have attached high-resolution photos of both the front and the back of the stamp.

I see evidence of grill points, thus 116. Nice color.

Badly damaged, soiled with tears (multiple), repair and thin

I also is a grill from front of stamp under the shield so it is a 116.

The target cancel also makes it a 116. Pretty much all used reissues were sent by dealers as registered covers. And they have very sharp proof like impressions.
