Some Day I'll Get It -Today -I Got It

You can go a life time to saying , SOME DAY .

Everybody has those things they always wanted ,for some reason other things got in the way , plus other things are more important but in the back of your mind at later dates that item comes nocking in your head . The opportunity just never happen .

I was 16 years old and joined the Ogden Hills Stamp Club in Chicago ,this is the club that started COMPEX ,as the largest stamp show in the Midwest .

The club actually had a special meeting ,while I stood in the hall way . They had a vote with discussion if I could join ,they welcome me at 16 as a member . The next youngest person was 42 . So I can now claim I am the only member today .
At the club over the years there was one stamp that came up from the other members sitting around the table ,which all agreed was the stamp to buy and yet none had it . I was making $28.00 a week so the $800.00 then later $1200 value was out of the question . It continue to climb over the next 60 years ,but never forgot what was said in that room and it got got higher and higher .
Last week one of my CD's came due and was rolling it over now at a better rate . Wife asked me "What am I going to do with the money made " Told her I would decide after breakfeast . While eating turned on the computer , then Kelleher Auctions just listed their up coming auction . There was my answer ,smacking me in the face . So while washing dishes told wife I am buying something that escaped me for 60 years .

This week I buried that desire .

I purchased the 1933 WIPA souvenir sheet MLH , in very fine choice condition .
