1 October93 1927 PAPUA The ten-shilling stamp is part of a series issue for Papua covering the years 1916-1931. This stamp is #65 (SW) and was postmarked at Samarai in Eastern District. The design is the Laketoi in two colours. 1877-1881 SAMOA This nine-penny stamp is #13 (SW). Clearly postmarked at Apia showing Oct 1. However, the year is not so distinct, I am inclined to see 1900 which if arrangements in Samoa at the time were similar those in Fiji, this may be a remainder postmark. This is just my speculation at this time. 1960 CAMEROONS U.K.T.T. Postmarked at Buea. This stamp, #8 (SW) was an interim postal issue to cover the short period following referendums settling the future of Northern & Southern British Cameroons which since 1916, have been using Nigerian postage stamps in what was once German Cameroons. 51986 |
