Not as bad as people using AI to "write" descriptions - which seems to happen in the majority of cases. Some utter gibberish results.

The $1200 price seemed high and pages looked too new as if few stamps. If I recall your rule of thumb was 6 cents per stamps in general album. I just would want is the album.

The price seems steep for both, especially if there aren't any photos of stamps. It's good to get a couple thousand stamps in a volume set (10,000 is better ;) )

I noticed the seller dropped the price to $950. Still not there in my mind for what's likely the most common stamps.

Simple answer here ......... Sellers are at the level where they are selling worldwide stamp collections of all cheap common stamps for over 10 cents per stamp mounted in old albums . They are trying , but I am surprised if they do unless this is a new trend .

Angore,

With the one you posted at least they included some pictures. Its evident there's nothing there for me though.

It looks like all the stuff I already own. If my heirs could get 10 cents each for my common stamps, I guess I'd be happy. But I do buy $10-$20 catalog stamps and mount them in the same albums. Maybe I should put them on stock sheets rather than mix them with the cheap stuff? I can see a dealer offering a fixed amount and my kids saying "OK" without really knowing the worth.

I have been watching and my guess the binder is worth $50 and then 5 cents a stamp for a very common collection. They do not seem to be selling fast.

I do want to purchase a Minkus supreme for an experiment. A new set is around $250 to $350 .

Yes, it would be nice to have clean, new pages. The new ones would take you up to 1940 or further? Mine which go to about 1973 have many PM mounts (with cheap stamps) and the black glue shows on the back side of the pages in some cases.

I saw two versions on amosadvage - up to 2020 and one that goes to 1952, I do not know why the 1952 cut of date version costs more. Binders? Abbreviated? Different layout like Scott specialized vs International? One 2 side and other not?

On ebay, a used one with a few stamps seems priced higher.

Because the 1952 album set contains all years 1840-1952 and the 2022 album set is ONLY 2022 (or, to be more precise, all the stamps issued during 2021 or newly added to the albums during 2021).

You can find additional single-year albums under "Supplements"

1840-1952 (1068 pages, $451)

2022 (792 pages, $326)
2023 (634 pages, $328)
...

I believe there's a difference between the Minkus Global and the Minkus Supreme. Someone bought a set
from Nola (Sp?) company and, if I remember, they were cheaper than Amos.
