Can anyone tell if this is real or not. It's a 2023 Freedom stamp.

The USPS text on the white stripe under the canton looks blurry to me. That should be very legible. If you have a shortwave light you should check to see if it glows yellow green. In general if you bought them on FB or ebay at a steep discount they're probably fake.

I don't know if my uv light is the correct wavelength. The stamps originally came from Amazon.

I don't know if it makes a difference but the 1st stamp on the roll has p111 printed very small on it.

The first question should be what percentage of face value did you pay?

I can't really go of what I paid and I don't know what the original price was. The were Amazon overstock or returns.

Yes you can.

They are not Chanel swimming trunks.

If you didn't buy them from the USPS and you paid a "bargain" price you get what you paid for. By now even remote tribes in PNG know about the counterfeiting problem.

The original price was the cost of a 2023 Freedom Forever stamp times however many you purchased. You have to know what you paid or can easily look it up on Amazon. I have never heard of Amazon selling overstocked or returned postage stamps.

Something smells like old fish.

Or Channel swimming trunks, although most travellers use rubber dinghies now.

Nor have I, but if you search Amazon for "Forever Stamps" there are many listings, all from third-party marketplace sellers, some even with Prime shipping. Looks like the Facebook scammers have upped their game...
