The club member who was giving the program on "The Columbian Exposition issue of 1893"
cannot make it tonight. So another club member volunteered on short notice to stand in and
give a program on "Zeppelins on Stamps part 2." Hope to see everyone there!!!

We had a very good meeting with 20 members and 1 guest attending. Our guest brought in his stamp collection and he was also interested in joining our stamp club. One person was approved by the membership to join our stamp club.

During the business meeting there was a report on the new stamps that would be issued through the end of the year. Future stamp shows in the area were also announced. The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved. It was announced that one of our club members had fallen and was now in rehab. Our treasurer gave a report for the last quarter. Members names were drawn for door prizes. One of the cub officers spoke about how the stamp exhibits would be handled at our upcoming annual stamp show. A report was given from the stamp purchase committee on the stamps had bought recently. Then the business meeting was adjourned for the program.

One of our dealer members setup his stamp stocks and several members looked and bought a few things.

We had a silent auction with stamps and albums.

Members brought in lots for Auction night on October 26th. An auction catalog of these lots will be emailed out. Anyone on receiving the catalog may bid in person or by email. Please see our webpage for details at http://www.nashvillephilatelic.org/.

Several members had a good time looking through the APS circuit books. There was a donated stamp collection available where stamps could be purchased for a nickel each.

Everyone enjoyed the program on "Zeppelins on Stamps part 2" given by one of our club members.

The food was delicious as always.

Our next meeting will be on Monday, October 26th when we'll have Auction Night. Everyone is welcome and you don't have to be a member to bid!!!
