I am the Grandson of Al 'Alvin' 'Albert' Burns, the philatelist.
I hope to learn more about him from members.
I have already garnered a bit, but there must be more for me to learn.
I once read a thread by Karen Burns stating she had some of his stamps and catalog.
I would love to learn more about his Ohio adventures.

Weekly Philatelic Gossip "Ohio Adventures." Quite the stamp man in the 1920's-1930's Ohio and then on to Iowa and Oregon till the 1940's. Before my time but a legend in his time.

Albany, Oregon - home of The Western Stamp Collector. When I started collecting as a Freshman at Oregon State, I lived in Albany just a few blocks away from the WSC offices.

I got my start from my grandfather's collection which I inherited in the Spring of 1973, so he would have been very active during your grandfather's time. Here's where I share my collection -- https://classicstampcollector.com

Welcome to the group!
