I've noticed on ebay there is quite a lot of JUBILEE high values for sale at cheaper prices, as there been a fall in the value of these or are some them not genuine.

Check the completed listings on ebay for a 90 day history. That will include the items sold but more importantly what is not selling. It, the market, is not looking active at this time.

Item clearly states they are "replicas".

Always helpful to post a photo of the item/items in question.

Among other Canada stamps, I recently purchased a complete used set of Jubilees off ebay, needing only the $3, $4, and $5 values (Scott 63-65) to complete my collection; paying less than 22% of catalog (the $3 & $5 were VF+, making me feel really good about my purchase).

The replicas are easy to spot and are dirt cheap, so really don't apply to the original question - that being: have these stamps fallen in value?

I've been watching prices on ebay for much of the past year and it has been my observation that most, if not all Canada stamps (including provinces), are selling for well below catalog values.

I understand my experience is merely anecdotal but the trend is easy to verify by checking sold listings. My question is 'why?'. Catalog values haven't changed much in the past few years so I have no explanation for it. Whatever the reason, I'm not complaining - it has allowed me to fill gaps I once considered out of reach.

Any other Canada collectors feel the same way?

Brian

The truth is that, despite the low printing runs, the dollar value Jubes are not rare and never were. Sound mint and dated used examples take some time to find. I think the replicas are no better than pictures in a catalogue, and cheapen the collector experience

I've never seen Canada sell for anything other than relatively low percentages of catalog unless you have a true rarity in either condition or numbers or both.

Antidotally, I purchased a very close to complete mint og collection of Canada which stopped at 1950-ish years ago in a Schulyer-Rumsey auction for around $1500 and flipped it in a Siegel auction for $3000. Andrew Titley had a Canada expert look at it and was of the opinion that while some were regummed, most were not. My sense was that nobody wanted to spend the coin and time certifying each stamp and passed allowing me to get it cheap. Non-antidotally, Rupp sells very highly graded Canadian stamps right now for percentages of SMQ that would be unheard of for US material. IMO Canada has always been a bargain. I find the designs stunning and there really aren't that many basic Scott numbers so completion is doable.

An example of a Rupp listing:
