Jean Pheulpin (1907-1991) studied at
l'École Boulle in Paris. During his 40-year career, Pheulpin designed and/or engraved more than 650 stamps, primarily for France, French colonies and former colonies (including many for Laos), but also some for other countries. Here are images of six examples of Pheulpin's artistry with the burin over a range of subjects, all stamps designed and engraved
by Pheulpin, except as noted.
