On May 22, 1990 Switzerland issued a four-value set of Pro Patria charity stamps with a "professions" theme. The 50 + 20 (centimes) value (Sc #B560) features a clock trader.  |

This February 4, 2008 55c stamp of Ireland commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Munich air disaster. The memorial clock at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, England and Dublin-born football/soccer player Liam "Billy" Whelan (Age 22) killed in the accident, are depicted. Twenty-three people were killed when a plane tried to take off from a slushy runway in Munich, Germany. Seven of those killed were Manchester United football players.   |

On May 15, 1991 New Zealand issued a $2 "Thinking of You", one-pane booklet of five different 40c stamps depicting a cartoon house cat. One of these stamps (SG #1606) shows the cat lying by a clock and anxiously awaiting its owner.  |

From wikipedia, "He had a long career, designing objects, typefaces, and important buildings in a range of styles from the 1900s to the 1930s."  |
