CHILE 1915 Columbus Printed by Talleres de Especies Valoradas, Santiago, Chile It was printed in Typography but the plate was prepared using the Stereotypy process.  As this procedure was not satisfactory, in 1918 new typographic plates were prepared, this time reproducing the clichés in the traditional Electrotype system. |

And this is the stamp printed with the new plates produced by the electrotyping process. The printing is cleaner and sharper. It appeared in 1920, not 1918, as I mentioned in the previous post.  |
