I saw some of those recently and liked the design. What do you mean "reprint"? Were these not actual checks, just prints? Or do you mean they were newer versions?
The steel printing plates for these checks were auctioned off after American Bank Note Co. was purchased in 1990. They are in private hands now and the owner had intaglio reprints made in different colors on card stock. I have a couple sets, if anyone is interested.
Typically, reprints are done on heavier stock paper and if you find them like that you can be fairly certain they are not original issues. I'm not sure how you'd get your hands on currency paper without being a security printer.
