The "Musée d'Orsay" it's a wonderful place, specially the top floor with natural light on the Van Goghs, Monets,...to name a few! The cinderellas' sheet it's most likely a souvenir, sold at the museum shop or at any Paris souvenir shop. |

There are many different examples of these French art sheets from several different museums and galleries across Paris and maybe beyond. Some were printed by Cartor, the British-owned security printers based in France, but they are not credited in the margin. These sheets would form a lovely collection if you are interested in art and are often quite reasonably priced when found on eBay and Delcampe. Md'O is my favourite gallery anywhere. GLENN |

For those interested in the art theme, Yvert produces albums/leaves for a "virtual gallery" collection that brings together the French art issues. Of course, as in life, it means that Delacroix et al have to rub shoulders with snake-oil salesmen of the Warhol type. |

Nice group Rod! Be aware though that "there is a Spaniard in the works" (top row, third from left). Apologies to John Lennon, r.i.p. |

On the last imatge: 5th row/ 5th stamp there's a Canadian cinderella (bilingual: English/French). It says "Christmas", instead of "Noel". |

This French WWI era cinderella serves as propaganda against the central powers. It is offset printed on a fine, somewhat heavy paper with a textured surface. Text reads, "Austrian objectives", and "A destroyed Italian hospital." |
