Clown and circus acts decorated with various national flags, designed by French artist Daniel Gonzague (1930- ), printed by photogravure (Delrieu), and issued by Monaco on November 9, 1976 to publicize the 3rd International Circus Festival, Scott No. 1049.

Here are images of the two stamps in a set depicting circus performers, respectively: an elephant and its trainer; and a clown playing a horn, designed by Bulgarian illustrator Emilian Stankev, printed by lithography, and issued by Bulgaria as EUROPA stamps on March 22, 2002, Scott Nos. 4213 & 4214.
