Vaquita (Phocoena sinus) is a rare species of porpoise endemic to the northern part of the Gulf of California. It is a critically endangered species, with ca. 60 individuals in 2016.

Very nice stamps, about these vanishing species...
The vaquitas are now about 30 specimens left.
I'd love maximum cards with those stamps.
At least 1 maxicard with every mammal species...:)...That would take at least 4,700 maxicards.
Some day.

The gray seal, or Atlantic seal (Halichoerus gripus) is depicted on this 1998 souvenir sheet of Poland. There is only one species, but several subspecies of the genus Halichoerus. This is a large seal with the bulls averaging 8.2 - 10.3 ft. (2.5 - 3.3 m.) in length and weighing 370 - 680 lbs. (170 -310 kg.). The cows are much smaller, about 60% the size of bulls.
