Arrived yesterday: Two machins, 20 p Sec.Feat and 1.28 which I didn't have on my used Machin collection. Something surprises me on the pm you read "Home Counties North". What does it mean? The letter, actually, came from Hertfordshire... |

Ma got some junk mail today with a strip of 5 the 10cent Pear coil issue (#5039). Seeing as they can only be bought from the PO in huge coils, I was happy to get them! No plate #, though... |

Got several stamps yesterday at my p.o. box from Nick Follansbee's recent Mexico auction. I don't have scanning capability, but my favorite is a classic stamp with an Amecameca cancel. Been to that town twice in the past, as it is a staging town for climbs of a couple of the high volcanoes in Mexico. |

I picked up a German collection this weekend, which I wasn't expecting (bought some albums blind). It included some Channel Island stamps I mentioned on another thread, and three bisect covers, which was nice to see, several Hitler mini-sheets I know nothing about, plus this item which caught my eye. It's not my area, so I don't know whether this is a highly desirable cover or just an ordinary sort of thing. The stamps are Allenstein Plebiscite overprints. Quite attractive, anyway: |

Petert4522 - they are? I didn't hear that, only that they were only sold in the large coils. Maybe I didn't get the latest catalog? |

dkabq8 - Postcrossing is a great way to get postally used stamps, especially from countries like Russia, as there seem to be many MANY users there! :-) |
