Hard drive on the server crashed yesterday. Took about 12 hours for the backup to be restored.

Bobby,
I hate hard drives, the last mechanical part to most computers. At the server level even going with RAID has kicked my butt in the past when one drops out. You have my sympathies. Please extend a thank you to whomever was the guy who had to deal with it.

Had me worried for a while, a bit of deja vue. The Polish Philatelic Union site was hacked about a year ago & was closed for a couple of days, they thought it might have been hacked from China. No-one brought up the question as to why anyone would want to hack a stamp site

bobby131313: you guys do a great job in maintaining the site (and monitoring). glad it is back. I was in early stage SCF withdrawal and it was not pretty. |
