No disasters to share of late, until this one showed up today. This was the Sainte Anne de Beaupré Basilica just north of Quebec City.  |

Wow, those Pearl Harbor cards are impressive and sobering. I have some French war damage cards from WWI, but they are not action shots. |

Has it really been over a year since we've seen a new disaster? Yes, it has! But I was lucky enough to pick up this card showing the 1904 town hall fire in Stamford, CT.  Anyone else have a nice tornado or flood they'd like to share? |

It took me a minute to figure out the caption of this clearly doctored photo of the Lassen eruption in 1915. But you'll see the left-facing profile if you look for it. This volcanic eruption didn't get a lot of attention at the time, since it was in a remote area of northern California. But the remnants of it can be seen if you visit Lassen Volcanic Nat. Park.  |
