On May 3, 1991 Austria issued this single, 7 schilling stamp (Mi #2026) as its EUROPA issue. Stamp shows Earth observation satellite ERS-1.

From wikipedia, "ERS-1 launched 17 July 1991 from Guiana Space Center aboard an Ariana 4 rocket. The satellite was put into a Sun-synchronous polar orbit at an altitude of 782-785 km. ERS-1 failed on 10 March 2000, far exceeding its expected lifespan."
