The 75c value (Stanley Gibbons #465) of Singapore's November 10, 1983 set of four "World Communications Year" stamps pictures a telecommunications satellite and a receiving dish.

This May 10, 1973 registered airmail cover from Dresden, DDR to Mexico City, Mexico is franked with a 50 pf. Ulbricht definitive (Mi #937) and the March 23, 1972 souvenir sheet (Mi Block 36) depicting the "Meteor" weather satellite.

On October 5, 1994 Singapore issued a set of 4 stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (U.N.). The $2 value (Stanley Gibbons #783) features a control tower, satellite, and Boeing 747 airliner.

A 13k Soviet "satellite" definitive is used on the 7k stationery along with a Latvian 30s stamp on this "leap year" (29.02.92) cover from Daugavpils.

Very interesting plot! Payment for correspondence with USSR and Latvia stamps was permitted until June 1992. Of particular interest is the cancellation date - February 29, 1992. On the postage stamp is a communications satellite "Horizon".

On September 6, 1988 Finland issued a booklet of six, 1.80 Mk. stamps of different designs to commemorate the 350th anniversary of posts and telecommunications in the country. The booklet cover and one of the stamps (Facit #1065) feature a communications satellite.
