We have a friend (Non Philatelic background) whom wishes to broaden her porcelain collection of Teapots, and begin a "Teapots on stamps" collection.

I shouldn't think there are more than a few dozen stamps available.
If any members have scans of Teapots, we would very much welcome them here.

Thanks.

SG #1516 1995 National Trust teapot.

Rod, the stamp you posted with the Frank Bauer teapot - is that a regular stamp? I do not believe I have ever seen that one with the roulette perforations

Wow! Thanks everyone, hopefully Tanya will be pleased.

(It struck me, how a "Thematic collector" must face problems when going to a Stamp bourse, one cannot request "teapot stamps" from a dealer, one has to hunt through book and rely on happenstance)

General Interest : Not Stamp : Smithsonian.

The Stamp Act was an act passed by the British in 1765. The Act was enforced to require the colonist to pay a fee or tax on every piece of printed paper they used. Items like legal documents, license, newspapers, and even playing cards were taxed. They had to buy paper from the British that had official stamps to show they paid the tax. Colonist could only pay the taxes in gold and silver, not even paper money. The money gathered from the Stamp Act was used to help pay for the French and Indian War. It was used to pay for things the troops needed in exchange for their service.

It's easier when you have a list of the stamps. Michel online catalogue returns 41 stamps when asked, I could provide the list should your friend be interested.

Klaus,
Yes please, I am hoping Tanya shall have a link to this thread on her iphone, and I can add the items to my database........
Thanks a bunch.

Alexey,
thank you very much, I was ignorant of a "Samovar" albeit seen them often in images.
I very much admire Russian painters, there are fabulous examples on stamps, one in particular is a favourite "The Barge pullers" by Repin.

I just received my newest catalogue from La Poste with the newest France and Colonies stamps being released. And wouldn't you know it, they have teapots, 12 of them in a booklet to be exact. Due out September 17, 2018. The picture is of the page of the catalogue.
