On May 29, 1989 Chilec issued this 150 peso stamp (Sc #836) to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Chilean Antarctic Institute. A surveyor using a theodolite is shown on the stamp.

This August 22, 1989 3.30 kroner stamp (Facit #1581) is from a one -pane booklet of six different designs commemorating Swedish polar research and the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Sciences. Stamp depicts a surveyor using a geodimeter.

A microscope is depicted on this July 30, 1996 3.50 peso stamp (Sc #1623) of Uruguay. Stamp honors veterinarian Dr. Miguel C. Rubino.

From wikipedia, "He dedicated much of his life to fighting foot-and-mouth disease (Glosopeda) in cattle."

This 32c value (Sc #2975q) of the USA is from the June 29, 1995 U.S. Civil War sheet of 20 different 32c designs featuring important figures of the conflict. Stamp depicts Union Major General William Tecumseh Sherman holding binoculars.

On October12, 1993 Great Britain issued a horizontally se-tenant strip of five 24p value to commemorate the centenary of the publication of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes story "The Final Problem". One of these stamps (SG #1111) shows a scene from "The Reigate Squire", with Holmes using a magnifying glass to scrutinize a paper fragment.

Here is the Ivory Coast's September 28, 1995 280 franc stamp (Sc #979) commemorating the centenary of the death of Louis Pasteur (1822-1895), one of the fathers of bacteriology and microbiology.

This August 5,1992 650 cruzeiro value (Sc #2385) of Brazil commemorates the 50th anniversary of National Industrial Apprenticeship Service (SENAI). One area shows an apprentice at a microscope.

Here is the 3.50 krone value (Facit #264) from Faroe Islands's June 6 1994 two-stamp set commemorating the centenary of the Navigation School. Stamp depicts a ship master with a sextant.

A circa 1750-1800 microscope is shown on this February 23, 1963 .30 +.10 franc Red Cross charity stamp (Sc #B372) of France. Stamp commemorates the birth bicentenary of French chemist and pharmacist Nicolas-Louis Vauquelin.

On March 25, 2020 Gibraltar issued a three-stamp "Famous Persons" set showing a scientist, a social reformer and a musical composer. The 80p value (Sc #1748) of this set commemorates the birth centenary of biologist and chemist Rosalind Franklin (1920-1958).

From wikipedia, "Rosalind Elsie Franklin was an English chemist and x-ray crystallographer whose work was central to the understanding of the molecular structure of DNA, RNA, viruses, coal and graphite...Her contributions to the discovery of the structure of DNA were largely unrecognized during her life."
