It will be interesting to see if they can get this stamp printed, distributed, sold and actually used for postage. I hope so.

Related, Poland is issuing an envelope and stamp to support Ukraine.

Info from Ukrainian news source as follows - (Google translate done for beginning of article, full article link below)

https://life.pravda.com.ua/society/...3/25/247967/

"Polish national postal operator Poczta Polska has issued new stamps and envelopes in support of Ukraine.

The postage stamp depicts the handshake of Poles and Ukrainians, and the envelope shows Ukraine, the State Flag and the Guardian of the Independence Monument. They also say "We are with you" in Ukrainian and Polish."

The article writer expresses thanks to Poland and also mentions that Estonia issued a stamp yesterday supporting Ukraine.

And found image for the Estonia stamp -

Just tried to order these snake island stamps and apparenty they are sold out of everything related. And the aftermarket is asking just a tad too much for them for my liking. From a post office face value of .78 cents us for the f value stamp, and $1.49 u.s for the W or worldwide stamp they are asking and getting hundreds of dollars from the unknowing. Wait till they try and resell. They will take a huge loss.

I was on a waiting list and was supposed to get an email with a link from UkrainePost between 2-3am Eastern US time. Sure enough, I got a link at 2:50am but it wouldn't go through even after multiple attempts, but at least I was getting a reaction from their website. As of this morning, no connections whatsoever, either using my "special link" or using their general url. Anyone able to connect? I fear for the worst...

There was a piece on the news last night about these stamps. There were long lines at the post office in Kiev and the stamps are sold out but apparently, they are printing more than the published quantity of 500,000 because they said they have already sold 1,000,000. They showed a photo of President Zelensky holding a presentation folder with FDC's and mini sheets. Pretty cool.

My understanding of what I have read from several sites including the ukr postal site, was that 500,000 printed of each denomination. Total would be 1,000,000 of the two values. 20,000 fdc's. The only thing I was not sure of was if it was 500,000 panes or of each stamp. In which case it would be 83,334 panes of 6 of each denomination. Apparently there was to be one printing only but time will tell.

I would not be surprised to see a special or second printing, possibly with an overprint of the day of sinking, or an image of the sinking ship with the date of sinking; or a specially printed or cancelled cover of the ship going down. Those would also be highly sought after items.

They could use the profits to help pay for defense.
