History of the Russian Navy, designed by Vasily Zavyalov and issued by USSR on December 15, 1971. The stamps are combined photogravure and engraved but I have no information who the engravers are:

- Peter the Great's Imperial Barge (1723)
- "Orel" First Russian Sailing Ship (1668)
- "Poltava" Ship of the Line (1712)
- "Ingermanland" Ship of the Line (1715)
- Steam Frigate "Vladimir" (1848)

During the 1970's, USSR issued a series of stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republics (ASSR). Each stamp shows the republic's coat of arms and a design representing the republic. Here are three examples from 1970, designed by Yury Kosorukov.

An Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (ASSR) was a type of administrative unit in the USSR, created for certain ethnic groups to be the titular nations of. During years 1960-1962, USSR issued a long series of 20 stamps shows the capitals of the ASSR's. The stamps were designed by N.E. Kruglov. Here is the first part:
