Just want to show my appreciation for the short-lived 13c Washington Franklin, which I think is one of the most underrated classic US stamps out there. Shout-out to this blue green beauty. I love the color so much that I want a full book of just the 13c. Is that excessive? I don't care. Please post images if you've got 'em, especially if it's on cover. This stamp just makes my day.

I also love this stamp. Here are two of mine. The color difference is due to how I scanned them. |

I hope there's also someone with a cover they can show me. I've been searching online but with no luck. |

Zebraman- Not only do you have a used block, but they are very well-centered! That's gotta be up there in value... Photo61guy- Yours are impeccable! I especially like the fat margins on the first one.
Thank you for all the 339s!! My day just got better. |

Side note- Photo61guy, can I ask what kind of scanner you're using? That image quality is pristine... |

solomons_prayer I am most likely a minority here as I do not use a cell phone camera or a scanner. All the photos that I post are taken with a Nikon digital camera and Nikon's excellent f2.8 105mm micro lens. This lens is meant for closeup photography. |

Thank you for sharing what you used! I know it is not only the technology that does the work, but you've probably experimented with many pictures to end up at the settings and tech that you used.
You really captured the stamp as is, and it shows with perfect clarity I used to think my phone had a decent quality, but your pictures make me realize what a stamp picture should look like! |

I want to show this to Revenuecollector. I remember seeing a thread where he was trying to find the best tech/settings/lighting to use. You really nailed it. |

Wow! These are some really beautiful stamps! I looked in my stamps, and I didn't find one. So I'll have to eventually go to my stamp dealer's shop and see if he can sell me one... or some! |

That's great, Captain! I have another stockbook coming in the mail that has one in it, so I'm pumped! |

Here is a #339 on cover to Italy. A solo use to Italy is hard to find. I under bid on one a bit over a year ago. I know Gerald Nylander (R.I.P.) finally acquired one a few months before that. |

Amazing Al E. Gator!! (and amazing name too ) Am I reading it correctly that the postmark says 1916? That would imply a late usage, and would make sense that a 2c was applied since I believe the rate was increased to 15c during that time. Could I ask how much you paid for it? I'm looking for a cover myself and would like to know what kind of price is reasonable. |

There are two 339 (non-solo) covers on eBay right now priced from $13-$50, though both are SE copies and not nearly as pretty as Mr. Gator's cover to Italy. Plus, his cover has a New York Registry Exchange Label FX-NY1 a(iv) which by itself has a Scott CV on cover of $100 which nearly doubles the total CV for this cover. It would be difficult to extrapolate the value of this cover to an in-period solo usage of 339 on cover if that is what you are looking for. |
