Ed, Thank you for running this fun exercise in stamp identification these last few years. Would love to have Vayolene tell us their secret. Also impressed by alas on who was moving up fast. Kudos to all who participated and to those that just watched. -david

Dear EdziuMM
What a pity! It was almost a tradition to be able to have a quick go at your quiz on Friday. Sometimes it worked, but sometimes not. Sometimes I was 'just off the mark', sometimes miles away.
If you don't have the time in future, I hope someone else will carry on your tradition. Or something similar.
In any case, many thanks to you, you always entertained us well.
Best regards from Switzerland

Quote: If you don't have the time in future, I hope someone else will carry on your tradition. Well if one week equals one point, he ran this just north of 13 years, more or less. He has done his time and then some. Can we look at you, Zuerich4? |

Dear parcelpostguy
If I had the time, I would not be averse to doing something along these lines. But at the moment I'm so busy with my job that I can't even devote myself to my hobby. I'm already longing to retire, but unfortunately that's a good 10 years away...
Like EdziuMM, you wouldn't just want to present any simple stamps, they would have to be real gems. And today's search functions sometimes make it relatively easy for those who have mastered them. For my part, I have tried to solve it with my knowledge. But more than once I had to rely on guesswork and make a wild guess.
Best regards from Switzerland

Thank you EdziuMM for many years of entertainment and challenges. I am mainly a US collector so I don't have familiarity with a lot of worldwide stamp designs but I still enjoyed playing along from the sidelines and occasionally making educated guesses that were usually wrong. I especially liked the ones where the clue was a little misleading which made the reveal even more interesting. Thanks and take care. |

Thank you EdziuMM! I too am going miss this Friday challenge. Your quiz was something a lot of us looked forward to.. The only one I ever got right was the first one I looked and didn't know how to guess yet. Thanks again for all your dedication to the hobby and the enjoyment you have given to so many of us.
