Just want to reconfirm if this watermark is inverted? Is there a value for such inverted watermark since the upper part of the S is slightly missing? Your opinions will be most appreciated. Thanks.

The watermarks on this issue (and many others) come in every possible variety. No attention was paid during production about paper orientation. All are very common; collectors in the U.S. do not pay much attention to this either. But it can be a fun way to collect.

ASJ, be sure to reply to your other thread about Webster and unknown watermark. It also appears to be an S.

Partime@ I have replied to the webster post. After observing the wmk and older posts from SCF, I think it could be a past of a P double line watermark. Please comment if I am mistaken. Tq
