As a bond collector, I find these types of bonds very appealing. A specimen example of a 1926 $1000 Gold bond by the American Banknote Co.

Listed in Cox Rail Catalog as HAV-100-B-30

This vignette has seen a lot of mileage, multiple bonds of the period incorporate it. Quite interesting that the railway is incorporated in the state of Maine.

On the tramz.com website, they have a picture of the Havana Electric Railway which was made into a (modern) Cuban postage stamp

Very nice bond! That Mercury vignette was engraved from an original design by Alonzo Foringer, one of the foremost banknote illustrators of his day. You'll see a lot of his designs in the mid-20th century if you start looking.
