Say so long to AmosMedia as an access vehicle for Linn's publications 'cause the new Linn's site is no online. Kudos to Jay and company. Room for improvement exists, but access is sooo very much easier now.

Hello,
We are writing to share an update regarding how you access and manage your Linn's Stamp News, Scott Stamp Monthly, and Scott Stamp Digital Catalogue subscriptions.

After a slight delay, Scott Stamp LLC has launched the new customer account system at: https://scottstamp.com

ScottStamp.com will be the central place to view and manage all three of your subscriptions and to purchase Scott catalogs, checklists, and books. If you visit Linns.com, the Log In button there will connect to the same account system, so you can use one login for both sites.

What carried over from the previous system
> Your customer number has been transferred to the new system.

What you will need to set up again
For security reasons, passwords and payment information did not transfer. You will be prompted to create a new password when you access your account, and you can add or update payment details as needed.

And this works very smoothly. My only issue was I failed to notice that the Reset Password email went to my Junk Mail folder. Once I figured that out, it finished quickly.

I went to Amosadvantage web site and they still sell Scott catalogs. Since you can purchase the catalogs off Scott website, I wonder if amosadvantage is still does the fulfilment (shipping).

When I clicked log in on Linn's site, it hung up several times so will try again later.

Other than slow loading, which was fixed wit a refresh, no problems today. Even went so far as reading both the current Linn's and Monthly.

Maybe I'm the only one who did this, but this announcement seemed to me to say that Amos Media -- which is both the owner of collector publications and which operates a sales site call "amos advantage" -- had become an entirely new website. But that's not really what it meant to say. When I went to the new website through the link, I expected to see both publications as well as sales of collector materials on the new website. I registered (or was it re-registered?), and so on, and then I finally realized this had nothing to do with the "Amos Advantage" sales site.

Here's what I think it meant to say: Amos Media, now Scott Whatever, a website for collector publications, has changed. If you want to access your Linn's subscription or other subscriptions, use this new website. Amos Advantage, on the other hand, which is their sales site for collector products like albums, pages, mounts and so on, has not changed.

Why not point out the difference since many collectors who use one will not use the other? I was confused.

The way I see it is that Amos Media still owns amosadvantage. They continue to sell hobby (not just stamps) accessories including Scott catalogs.

Scott LLC took over linns.com and created scottstamp, com to replaces the subscription management site that Amos Media had as a link on linns.com. On Scott LLC you can purchase subscriptions and catalogs.

I set it up easily enough, but I find it annoying that the user name has to be the random set of digits that make up your account number. I don't remember ever setting up another online account where you can't choose your user name - I would much prefer a user name I can easily remember.

I had let my subscription expire last year but decided to support the new owners. Signing up again was easy. Linn's still is just 24 pages or so with few ads. I just get the digital versions.
