Your first image shows something with a strong bluish hue.
My guess is you are using the wrong uv lamp (not-so-good long wave lamps emit considerable blue light with the lw light).
In that case, try a short-wave uv lamp.

From your first picture it looks like you, davemamer, have already set up to sell the item.

Are you really just asking about how to price the item for ebay?

Yes, for sure, this isn't the kind I collect so looking for advice, if any, aside from start at 99c and see what happens, if any is known. Appreciate input.

I checked my 2026 specialized and they don't have a listing for it on a cover, just the cover listing for $1.50 and the single stamp listing for $20

I checked the terapeak and can only find mostly stamps on specialized "this is untagged" covers

Yes, it is short wave UV. I have one of these fun Leuchtturm toys

Here is a different angle that shows it better

Tagging omitted, as with any applied coating (read, generally ink) must be fully missing. Any single dot of color or coating keeps the stamp from being "missing ____ ."

That said, pricing is based upon supply and demand. Without addressing supply, demand is exceptionally thin.

The best way to research a price is to review the price lists of the period of the dealer, Alfred 'Tag' Boerger,a specialist in the area of tagging or lack there of. The APS's Library should have a run of them.

After all of that time and effort to find some price you will be best served to list it on ebay at a Buy It Now price and wait for it to cycle until one of the few collectors of same see it and buy it. I suggest doing the BIN with a make offer option. That will allow you to see what interested folks are willing to pay. It should sell within a few days or after months of cycling.

As to if any are known, I do not have at my disposal information about the missing coating, such that I do not know if it was a here and there issue or if the entire press sheet missed the coating. Here and there is a tough count; a full printing sheet means 99 others could exist as it is unlikely a FDC servicer would get pads of all four pane positions from the press sheet.

You could also contact the Untied States Stamp Society (USSS) to see if you can get detailed information for the luminescence study group.

I will stop here as you need to do some work of your own to earn the reward beyond, "...start at 99c and see what happens...."

Thanks parcelpostguy,

I found that "stamps that glow" publication a good long while ago. It's probably what got me looking through my stamps with the new fun light I found.

Based on the method I received this [collection] I would feel safe in assuming there are likely to be 90 - 390 more out there somewhere.
90 if ArtCraft got single sheets, 390 if ArtCraft Made these with quad sheets [400]

It was a collection of sets of covers of the period by ArtCraft and Artmaster x10 sets each. This series was missing the $2 one

All 10 of this one that I have are untagged which would let me believe at least one sheet of these were put on by ArtCraft.

Thanks all for the information and advice
