It helps if you first check out this website for info on the item about 2/3 down the page.

I was going through a French album I bought at a show a long time ago and I ran across this little item in a nice plastic sleeve. In French on the front it is a proof booklet of 2 semipostals blocks of 4, profits to the French Red Cross. Thought you might like to see it.

Haaa, Thanks for the compliment. Actually I just went overboard in the 80s, buying auction lots and mail bids, and trading stuff, then as is my affliction I dropped coins and stamps for woodworking which was good as I needed to do a lot for the house. So my old friends stayed in their trunks and albums in various cabinets and closets until I started suffering some minor hand problems and decided to organize the coins and stamps so my son , who has only liked the 50 cent Canadian "Bluenose" stamp, and of course any "gold" around, will have some idea of its value. But being re-immersed into the material is stirring up the collecting urges again...

Triggersmob, you hit the nail on the head with that comment! ha

I heard someone today say that their lawn mowing person doubled his price for mowing the lawn due to the price of gas here! I'm sure the airlines will probably follow suit!

Very nice stamps everyone

Don't have much time to find stamps to scan these days so I'll have to catch up in the fall.
