You might be a stamp collector if ... you look at Rod's Pitcairn Island leaf and:
...search the online auction sites to see if a similar item has been listed...
...wonder if the leaf is "acid free"...
...post a thread on SCF asking if anyone has had experience removing leaf residue from a stamp...
...weigh the pros and cons of using a hinge or a mount...
...fault Scott Publishing for not listing "on leaf" values in any of its catalogues...
...complain about the marker monkey who wrote "Pitcairn Island" on the piece...

You may be a stamp collector if... you go into your local post office and the Postmistress says she's found an interesting stamp for you - then takes an envelope from the incoming sorted mail, and tries to peel the stamp off for you before the postie sets off with it on their delivery round... ...this happened to me on Thursday, I persuaded her not to try and "dry peel" the stamp - instead she has put a note on the envelope asking the recipient to return the stamp the the PO! Luckily its a small and very friendly community, I have high hopes of receiving the stamp in due course.. |

One of the guys in our stamp club ..a Ryukyu collector ..has some sort of Ryukyu logo tatooed on his arm..possibly guardian dragon.. |
