The French Protect Nature stamp of 1972 is another engraving beauty, this one done by Pierre Forget. It shows the adult salmon migrating upstream as well as the young migrating downstream. Surely this stamp has been presented on other threads, but as a topical it also belongs here, just as does the flamingo, engraved by Robert Cami.  |
