Trinity, Your stamps are not worthless, they just are not valuable. I have thousands of very low value stamps in my collection that are worth something to me. You will find that the people on this site love the hobby and try to provide good information to everyone. The members here promote stamp collecting and would like to see you take up the hobby, no one here would try to take advantage of you. In regards to the $99.00 listing no bids. I see people trying to sale very common stamps for high prices all the time on ebay. |

Yes: I see the auction closed with no bids. That is what I would have expected. It appears to be a revenue usage of a stamp which, even used for postage, is realistically worth almost nothing, with a common postmark. Just one of those dreamers who crop up so often on ebay. |

I know I have do not have 50 post but I am a member of the coincommunity and I think the sites should be intertwined as far as usernames etc... Collecting is something I love doing and will start looking more into stamps. I did order a 3-ring stamp page from Amazon so I can keep a couple of each stamp. I do not want the rest. They are for sale/trade and I would rather keep them in the stamp collection community instead of selling to some random people. Everyone is welcome to e-mail me. I don't want to abuse the forums. Spock you do infact have dibs on whatever I have. |

Welcome to the world of stamps, trinity!
I don't feel right buying or trading prior to your 50th post, so I'll bow out for now. I'm glad to hear the stamps aren't going in the wastebasket.
Hope you'll stick around. |

India state service/government. Common for the most part, but if you can give us the basics of monarch, color, value, I'm sure one or another of us will be able to double check. |

Philb, some of the Victorian era British Indian covers can look rather interesting. If you, or anyone else, is interested in seeing a few, please feel free to nag me to scan some when I have a spare moment. |

No, it really will take some serious nagging. I don't have any sorted out or scanned. It would be a different matter if I had them all ready to post ... |
