An R in a circle shows up on registered items. Not sure about that particular mark, but that's my guess.

Here is another one... Belgium style with a Baarle-Hertog cancel. And according to wikipedia "The border is so complicated(Netherlands/Belgium) that there are some houses that are divided between the two countries. There was a time when according to Dutch laws restaurants had to close earlier. For some restaurants on the border it meant that the clients simply had to change their tables to the Belgian side."

Kishengarh in Alwar State

with the ubiquitous - in Alwar - dagger symbol in the date across the centre of the CDS as well on SG 3, the 1899 ¼ Anna. This Kishengarh is not to be confused with the one in Jaipur State, next door, or Kishengarh State, nearby ...

And while I'm in Alwar, a strip of three squarely cancelled of SG 1c, the grey-blue ¼ Anna

and finally a cover with SG 3 again, in combination with a pair of SG 2b, the 1 Anna chocolate

with one socked on the nose Thanaghazi CDS, anyway, and with the dagger symbol once again in the date line.

Yes the "R" on the black swan a is Registration mark,
unusual colour for mine, don't recall that before.

The Singapore strike was exceptional, and I went to my collection
because I thought that one was a first, but I have two
on QV, however the registration is so poor, I hadn't recognised them.

I like the way they integrated the dagger into the postmark. Simple, and not overly slick, but thinking outside the box.
