Love this thread. The 120 is beautiful! I also collect Belgian Parcel Post/Railway stamps, so those were a welcome site.

This thread simply deserves a bump

Mike - your Canadian Port Arthur postmark is a true showpiece!

I purchased this the other day:

Spain 1900, St.gibb #294. I wanted this one for my side collection for maritime postmarks, paquebot etc. This Spanish stamp was used for a ship letter canceled in Southampton. I know this is a little outside mainstream, but I am intrigued by that kind of stuff.

Jad - that's a nice SOTN selection fyi - the French 0.08 lilac stamp with 'Affranch postes' is a pre-cancelled stamp, so not actually SOTN.

Thanks Blaamand, & for the info too, as I wasn't sure about that one, I've only just started seeing cancels, as another member said, they were just in my way for ages ;)
I have a lot of close calls but now that I'm looking the spot on ones that are readiable like others have posted are very uncommon for sure. I'm finding some railway cancels too now thanks to the learning I'm doing on this forum.
Happy to add more though as time goes on & maybe we'll get to see someones perfect cancel
All the best....Jad

Good stuff jad - I'm sure lots of others also enjoy your posts My PC is still dead, so I'm unable to share anything for the time being...

FYI - your green 7 øre stamp is postmarked in Sulitjelma, which is a very tiny village, sure some local-collectors would like that one

These three pairs were cancelled on 10 May 1937, and would therefore have made up FDCs had they not been soaked off...

Found both of these in a batch of perfins. They both have a single C perfin (not sure what it means) besides rather tasty socks on the nose.
