It's a new month, the sun is shining, and the snow is gone from the yard (almost). Time to go out and start cleaning things up but I had to add to the May 1 flurry of covers with a kind of interesting Air Mail express from Geneva with an Express Label and a Fee Paid Stamp, presumably from the receiving Post Office in England.

An early one for May 3rd. A rather uninteresting cover, but I did some research on the sender (David Rumsey) and came up with an interesting bio on him from a "New York Who's Who"...always interesting to know about the people named on a cover:

jwhite: I have several of those "Mothers of America" FDC's but don't recall seeing that cachet before. Do you know the cachetmaker?

That Knapp handpainted cachet is really impressive. Also, whoever addressed the envelope did it in a very fancy handwriting that you don't see too often today.

BTW, thanks for the info. on that "Mothers of America" Ralph Dyer cachet. As I said, I have a couple of different ones myself with Linprint and Rice cachets.
