I went through a mountain of covers and have reached a conclusion that from my view May 12 is one of the least volume for mail days there is. Here is my one and only for the date. |

He got booted off. Asked a simple question via the Contact Us button about the limits on characters that can be used for file uploads, and was replied to in a very rude manner, and subsequently subjected to a denial of registration. |

To try and put a positive spin back to this thread, here's an early post for May 14th: Even though it's uncacheted, I happen to like this one especially because of the bi-colored stamp that is so rich looking. Also, I was curious as to the address stamped on the cover, so I looked up the named person (C. Howard Nash of Troy, NY) and came up with this mini biography: Quote: C. Howard Nash was born in 1916. He was a resident of Troy, New York, and was a grandson of Titus Eddy, the manufacturer of ink used by the United States Treasury for printing money. Nash was a member of the Taconic Hiking Club and for a period he served as director of the club. He was also a member of the Troy Forty-Sixers, a hiking club known today as The Adirondack Forty-Sixers. Within two years he climbed all forty-six peaks in the Adirondack Mountains that were 4000 feet above sea level or higher; it was a record for his time. He died in Troy in 1979. |

I haven't posted a new cover for some time - a dearth of early May. However, I have always admired the design and stamp combinations of Swedish FDC material. |

A few minutes early perhaps, but here's one for May 15th: It commemorates the 50th anniversary of airmail flight, however, in that the cover is now 43 years old, we're now at the 93rd anniversary in 2011. |
