Cover Calendar For Month And Day -Pics

Here is a cover for the 24th of February.

That is a nice cover, thanks for sharing.

This is a tad early but I must plan ahead as this is a Film Festival weekend and I have to allow for subsisting on popcorn and bottled water for three days while viewing 9 feature length films.

Besides which, February 26th seems to have been a bonus day for letter writng as I found three candidates.

First,one which variously could be going to Oaklay, or Acklay, Iowa.




Next, a cute postcard to Grandma from a now extinct Post Office.








And finally, one that looks like the sender got away with a free letter home - until you flip the envelope.

Before I forget to post it by the end of this day, here's a nice colorful cover from 1946 representing February 26th:

Here's nice Feb 27, 1947... with, I think, a great cancel too.

It's acover for the 2cnd and another first flight. Seems to be a lot of them around for Canada - size and remoteness of a lot of smaller communities must have a lot to do with it though these two don't really apply.

I see that there are several days where nobody has covers to upload. I have two dated March 9, 1973 for everyone to enjoy.

For March 10th. Not much of a cover, but at least its imprinted "Philatelic Mail"!
