The PhilexFrance 82 label was attached to 3 different issues from 1980-82 publicising the exhibition: 1980 SG2371 Durer; 1981 SG2415-16 France and Paris; 1982 SG2520-21 The Post and man and Cogwheels

Excuse the quality, I like to mount any solved issues, no matter how ugly,
rather than just place back in the Hagner, and lose the work.

My France collection dwindles into sparsity around 1978, the tab fits the cogwheel issues.

Not sure if you were looking for IDs on the cinderellas you posted, but here are a few.

All images open to larger versions. All images are from eBay/Delcampe. Sorry for the Michel numbers. I don't have access to Scott catalogues at the moment.

The sheet edges with "Gültig Valables Valevoli" are Swiss. They are from the following issues. You can probably tell the specific issue within the set by the ink color on your margin tabs.

The series "P.Flug 2-581 A" airmail etiquette is Austrian.

The bird with "Heinz Sielmann Stiftung" at the bottom is a cinderella from Heinz Sielmann Stiftung, a German company that promotes nature conservation.

The "Deutscher Schulverein" cinderella is from the Deutscher Schulverein (German School Association), an Austrian organization founded in 1880 to promote German ties in the culturally-German border regions.

Very interesting. I was aware of the short term validity of Swiss semipostal stamps because I bought some from a post office in Lucerne many years ago. The glassine envelope gave notice that the stamps were only valid during the year of issue.

For commemoratives, the short period of validity takes the policy to a whole new level. I think that policy is awfully aggressive in the direction of revenue protection.

I had to think about that for a while... I think you're right.

It does make for more mint Swiss stamps being available.

In my view, the railway, Neuchatel and other Swiss stamps shown, are not semipostals. I thought that what Scott calls "semipostals" are what we in Europe call "charity stamps"; like the Swiss "Projuventute" and "Propatria" stamps.
