Rabbits On Stamps

As promised, here is my rabbit lot!

My main small mammal topical is squirrels but I started expanding to other small mammals as they are just too cute to pass over!

Luckily, I have recently connected with a Japanese philatelist and we are in the process of exchanging our respective countries main definitive and commemorative stamps (Canada-Japan).

You have a few that I don't! If you end up having duplicates at some point, I'd love to trade with you once we each have enough posts to use messages.

You're in for a treat, trading with someone from Japan: out of all of the countries in the world, Japan has printed more rabbit stamps than anyone else many times over.

This is the portion of my collection from Japan, excepting licensed characters and custom stamps. I've purchased several more that are still in the mail system, and there are SO many I have yet to hunt down.

Tevokkia! What an awesome lot, so many « cute » rabbit stamps. But I not too sure about the Amami Rabbit (Pentalagus furnessi): it's quite ugly, more like a rat-rabbit! But that's just my opinion!

I mostly get my stamps through blind swaps so it's always a surprise, I never know what I'm going to get. Sometimes, no stamp is worth it but often, most stamps are valuable! My collection (Canada, US, France and CEPT Europa) was stagnant but since I've started doing the blind swaps, I've been pleasantly surprised how quickly I was able to revitalize my collection! That's also when I got into topical collections as well (I have so many and they are so random! But so much fun!) Also, I was able to connect with philatelists from around the world and we send to each other according to our preferences! My highlight of the day is picking my mail after work everyday!
