I cycled 44km yesterday morning, and by happenstance, cycled with a local member of the department of agriculture. I mentioned in passing I was beginning to make a "Bee Hotel", and as luck would have it, my colleague's wife, a schoolteacher was doing exactly the same thing. Apparently there are 45 differing Native Bees in Western Australia (none of them sting) and only 1 genus "hives', the rest are all solitary, but all pollinators...
