 Advertising cover for the A.I. Root company, established in 1869 by Amos Ives Root, to manufacture beekeeping equipment. The company eventually transitioned into candle-making, and Root Candles is still run by a member of the family. A.I. Root's magazine for beekeepers: Bee Culture, continues to exist today, and they also continue to publish his encylopedic volume on beekeeping, the ABC and XYZ of Bee Culture ... now in its 42nd edition. |
