The green crab (Carcinus maenas) is one of eight creatures featured on Ireland's 2012 set of computer-vended stamps. This crab is native to Europe, but has been introduced to North and South America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and East Asia. According to Wikipedia, it is one of the top ten invasive species on the planet.

Shown are two varieties of the stamp. Both are from coiled rolls of 600. The unvended stamps feature the pictorial image and country name. Stamp value and other information are printed via thermal printer at time of purchase. The top stamp is from a postal kiosk machine as found in malls. The Wincor Nixdorf printers on these machines print the value and code #s in a somewhat primitive manner. The bottom stamp is from a post office machine equipped with the "soar" system using an Epson TM J7500 thermal printer. In addition to the machine and date codes, this printer numbers the stamp (sideways # in lower right corner), and shows the type of service purchased ("Standard Post").
