Having a little trouble with this piece. Think it belongs in Bulgaria but my eyes must be crossed. I cannot find a Scott number for this. Any help please - thanks - Jeff

This is listed in SG as 276 issued in 1927. Some of the values issued in 1881 and 1882 were re-issued with different colours in 1927.

WOW 22crows, you are quick like a bunny! (fitting for easter)

Also, the Scott's catalogue specifies the 15s as 1929.

Yes, very elan 22crows.
Shows 1929 in my 1960 Gibbons as well.

A tricky stamp to find in the catalogue.

SG SOTW 2010 shows 1927.

This site also gives 1927:

OK, I think we have agreed on a Scott number but I am not sure that we have agreed on the year, 1927 or 1929. What makes up the difference between Rod's reference and 22crows, or are we talking about the same thing here?

I think it's all the same, just discrepancy in reference material. What's two years among friends?

Here is another I think in the same series, maybe SCOTT #9?. I have not been able to fine it yet, but what is interesting about this stamp is the STAR postmark. (or overprint, trying to learn which).

thank you jamesw. Do you think the star is a postmark or overprint? I don't see a reference to an overprint. Londonbus1 you want to jump in here?

I'm no postmark expert, but that would be my guess. The star and its circle run off the stamp, which would have tied it to the envelope. I don't think an overprint would do that.

Late as usual !

I saw Nigel's ebay find and they look the same. You can see the blue outer circle on your stamp Mr.Lovell.
A neat item.

When I get the chance, I will sift through my Bulgaria to see if I have anything similar.
