I do not collect this topic, nor will I ever, but I am inspired to open up a special thread on the subject after receiving a letter from Dianne yesterday. Yes, there were stamps enclosed but no Frogs. Just Flags. [Thanks again Dianne] The frogs were on the outside. I just had to show it. Frogs and I have an issue at the moment,
we have had 4mm of rain
and somewhere in the storm drain,
Teddy Toad, is whoop, whooping, just about all night
I have to actually wear ear plugs.
He must be on the extreme side of ugly,
as he doesn't seem to be attracting a mate with his carrying-ons.

The strawberry poison dart frog. The tadpoles hitch a ride on mum's back and she drops one tadpole in a separate tiny pool of water, where they absorb their tail and grow. Highly toxic, but if you don't feed them ants or beetles then they lose their toxicity, and become favoured pets and cost around $30  |

I use to own a few Fire Belly Toads. I always thought the brightly colored Poison Dart Frogs were neat.
Great topic LB! Makes me want to go to the pet shop. |
