Nice map of locations.
As I am now working through my Upper Silesia stamps, I am trying to ID some of the postmarks. Many of them don't appear on your map. Do you (or anyone) have a full list of postmark locations? (or at least a more detailed map with the German names)?
If not, I might show some and maybe we can jointly figure them out.
For instance one is "...ORSIGWERK." Maybe Borsigwerk?
Thanks Michael

Thanks all for the help.
The tools were very helpful and I found postmarks from:
GERMAN / POLISH Beuthen / Bytom Borsigwerk / Zabrze Guden / Grudzice Guttentag / Dobrodzien Jeschutz / Jaszyce Katscher /Kietrz Kattowitz / Katowice Konigshutte / Chorzow Krappitz / Krapkowice Kruppamuhle / Krupski Mlyn Oppeln / Opole Peiskretscham / Pyskowice Pleß / Pszczyna Pommerswitz / Pomorzowice Ratibor / Raciborz Rybnik / Rybnik Slawentziz / Slawecice Steubendorf / Izbicko
Plus a Train (Bahn) cancel from Breslau / Wroclaw to ??? (destination was cut off)
Also have 2 postmarks from Branitz, which is not in Silesia.
If anyone wants to see any of them I will post.
Thanks again

Ummm, yes? I'd like to see the rail cancel, at least, and any other striking strikes. The Borsigwerk / Zabrze is interesting. The town was renamed Hindenburg in 1915. I have a Hindenburg strike posted upthread. Can you show that one, too? (Actually, I'd like to see them all, but that is asking a bit much...perhaps I should ask for half, knowing that BC would ask for the other half... ) |

OK, here are the scans you asked for. However, I can do you one better. I have uploaded my entire Upper Silesia Album on DCStamps and you can view it at: http://www.dcstamps.com/?page_id=6899. If you really want close ups, download the pdf from the page. Here is the Train Postmark (at least a partial) Here is the best one from Borsigwerk |

There are five choices for Breslau train cancels. I believe there is only one choice for yours, but you can choose the best fit:
Breslau-Carlsmarkt-Oppeln Breslau-Kattowitz Breslau-Myslowitz Breslau-Oderberg Breslau-Oswiecim |

Wow, I am impressed you know the only available train routes in 1920. I appreciate your expertise! The first letter of the destination is either the "M" or the "K". I will guess that it is Kattowitz. Michael |

Here is a Breslau-Myslowitz I posted here a few years back: When checking the spacing with yours, I lean toward Breslau-Kattowitz. I'm not sure I'd publish it in a book, but it feels right to me. |

It's Breslau-Myslowitz, it's the only line that had Zug (Train) 14. I've copied, re-pasted & Anglicised the headings of the appropriate pages from "Handbuch vom Abbstimmungsgebiet Oberschlesien" by Rolf Ritter, into one table for the Breslau lines. DCStamps - Quote: Also have 2 postmarks from Branitz, which is not in Silesia. Yes it is, the Polish name is Branice. It's right by the Czech border, due west of Ratibor (Raciborz) |

Now there is some information. As a worldwide collector, I won't need this information very often, but it is great to know that it is out there, if I need it. Assuming the tables exist for many or all of the routes, I may have to do some checking and circle back here. |
