That US sheet of "Abstract Expressionists" stamps intrigued me because of the postmark of Shirley Mills, ME. Apparently the US Postal Service has no branch in Shirley, Maine -- only Shirley Mills, Maine, but the location is quite remote and the population of the entire town is only 183. Such a small post office still in operation today is a rare thing.

Thanks wt1.
The US mini sheet came from an USA friend and
his pieces comes with the cancels you can see.
I thought it was from his sister in Florida.
From what I know about Maine no wonder there
is only 183 people that live there.

I hear that Maine was a big paper tree industry and
they still hold there heads in shame about it all privately.

A very passionate people that God only knows how they survive.

All these years I have had the wrong end of the USA.
My friend is not so young anymore, but who is?
When it gets cold he heads north for a totally different life in winter.
He has been a good friend for over 23 years.
That will be an interesting talk when he comes back, thanks wt1.
