Not many people know that Can Jorba (in Catalan Jorba's House) store had also a Post Office branch with a postmark, which I'm not showing, as this is a cinderellas' thread.

September 25th, 1904 : cinderellas, to homage the "Unió Catalanista", one of the early Catalan Nationalist parties. There, you can see the rising sun with Catalan arms, a star (meaning Catalonia's independence), the Three branches tree (for the 3 Catalan speaking countries) and Montserrat Mountain (our Sacred mountain) and, in the bottom, a sickle (our national anthem is a song called "The harvesters") cutting Catalans' slavery chains.

Moià (53 km N of Barcelona), August 15th 1954. A cinderellas sheet to commemorate the 50th anniversary, of the "Fruit tree Festival", organized by the opera singer Francesc Viñas I Dordal (Moià,1863 - Barcelona, 1933). The four cinderellas show aspectes of the artist's monument on his home town. Everything is written in the, then compulsory, Spanish language.

I wish all our SCF friends and family a Happy New Year 2014!

In late November Cursus published seals, three units dedicated to Pro-Local PCB (Barcelona's Catalonia Club) 1950. What does anyone know what sport or what activity did? Cursus may have some information more ...
Take this opportunity to wish everybody a good year 2014 about to commence and hopefully bring us everything we crave.

I'm sorry, Melic, I don't have any information about yhat "Penya Catalunya Barcelona". Knowing the time (Franco's dictatorship), perhaps it was just a cultural association, or something more political (Catalan nationalist?) under that cover.

In a second stage, was subtitled "Journal Republican Left of Catalonia" but take a close political line soon broke relations. Finally disappeared in 1934.
