A couple months ago I purchased (on ebay)what they call a document camera or doc cam for short. it is the new version of the old school overhead projector. it does have a large footprint 16" or so by about 24". mine (epson) comes with folding lighting and the optic head. it can be attached directly to a monitor,a computer or a projector. It does need software I think to connect to the pc or projector, which I dont have, but it does not need this for a straight monitor connection. 18X zoom, with rotation and pos/neg switching among other things. new they list for upwards of $1000, but I found this one for $25 plus about $12 shipping. no more squinting or sore back/neck from looking through a loupe and such. look into it. twas the best money I have ever spent on inspection equipment.
